The signature event of Hispanic Heritage Month at ASU's West campus is the Lowrider Car Show & Hispanic Heritage Fair.

Musical performances are an important part of the Hispanic Heritage month celebration.

September 15 – October 15

Hispanic Heritage Month, which runs from Sept. 15-Oct. 15, celebrates the histories, cultures and contributions of  the Chicana/o, Latina/o and Hispanic individuals and groups who identify with and strive to create a more inclusive environment for these communities.

At ASU's West campus, activities include the Lowrider Car Show & Hispanic Heritage Fair signature event and other events such as performances, lectures and other opportunities to share community values and cultural experiences.

'Fate of the Furious' Movie Screening
Friday, Sept. 29
7-9:30 pm, Fletcher Library Lawn

"When a mysterious woman seduces Dom into the world of terrorism and a betrayal of those closest to him, the crew face trials that will test them as never before." Rated PG-13 (Trailer)

Bring your favorite blanket or comfy folding chair and relax while we enjoy a movie under the stars on Fletcher lawn. Popcorn and water provided while supplies last. Admission and parking are FREE!
 

“Understanding the Latino Market” Forum
Saturday, Sept. 30
1-4 pm, La Sala

Open to entrepreneurs and those interested in conducting business with the Latino market. Free admission and free parking. Hosted by ASU’s New College of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences and the Glendale Chamber of Commerce. More information: William Brashears at william.brashears@asu.edu

 

SIGNATURE EVENT:
Lowrider Car Show & Hispanic Heritage Fair
Saturday, Sept. 30
4-8 p.m., Quad

See dozens of the hottest lowriders on display, enjoy inflatables, arcade games and performances. Music and entertainment provided by DJ "Cruising with the Manic Hispanic." A ¡Salsa-Salsa Fiesta! den offers a relaxing, cool-off area and food trucks will be on hand - Yellowman Fry-Bread and Ni De Aqui Ni De Alla. Free admission, free activities and free parking.
